Became frustrated with a digital painting, adding layer after layer to the face, until I finally threw some black onto it.  I managed to get a good shape with the hair and jawlines.  From there it was a matter of working the color layering and cleaning it up.  "Rock On", by Jackson and His Computerband, was playing in the background on iTunes, as I drew.  It made sense.
